Namely, a great utilization for Jirachi is as an early sacrifice. Frankly, I never experimented with Sander’s complete list of toolbox cards because I thought that the Jirachi version would be smoother. My list is a lot more similar to Grant’s because I kept the Jirachi engine. I merely took what they had and merged them together to create something better. Of course, credit to the original lists go to Grant and Sander, respectively. I originally started with Grant’s list, then made small swaps over the course of games when I wanted to experiment with a card. What I’ve done the past couple of days is build their lists online and see if I can make a few improvements over the course of many games. Both lists are also available online on Heyfonte and Limitless. Sander wrote a great post in Heyfonte summarizing the subtleties in his and Grant’s list, so I greatly urge you to check it out. Two completely different variants did well: Sander Wojcik’s teched version and Grant Manley’s Jirachi version. That being said, it requires a fair bit of knowledge to play, and mistakes with the deck don’t go unpunished. It can do great things in 50-minute Bo3 with a long Game 1 and dismantle inexperienced players if they make a mistake. It may also come from haapuu, Hawaiian for "harden", as the Ground-type is associated with minerals, and Mudsdale, her signature Pokémon, has hardened mud on its legs.Frankly, I wasn’t surprised to see Pidgeotto Control do well. Hapu's name likely comes from the Hawaiian word for pregnant, implying fertility, as she's a farmer.Hapu's VS sprite in Sun & Moon Pokémon Sun and Moon Island Kahuna Hapu In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the only differences in her role from Sun and Moon are when Necrozma unleash several Ultra Beasts around Alola, where she is seen battling against a Xurkitree at the Ruins of Hope and her Grand Trial take place now at Exeggutor Island after Mina's trial. After Lillie and the player character arrives in Poni Island, Hapu take then to the Ruins of Hope, where she is chosen by Tapu Fini as the new Island Kahuna of Poni Island, after this, the newly appointed go to Vast Poni Canyon, where she challenges the player character for the Grand Trial, after being defeated, she gives the player character the Groundium Z and accompanies the player character and Lillie to the Altar of the Sunne/ Moone. When Lusamine used Nebby to open several Ultra Wormholes around Alola, she said that has fought against an Ultra Beast (presumably being Guzzlord) that emerged from the wormhole that appeared on Poni Island alongside Tapu Fini. In Sun and Moon, Hapu is traveling through Alola to become stronger, she first appears on Akala Island, where was defending a Drifloon from two Team Skull Grunts, she is later seen at Ula'ula Island, where she gives the player character the Mudsdale Gallop. Overall Hapu is very honest, dependable and nice. She has good composure in otherwise stressful situations and can make decisions without any haste. Despite looking like a child, she is very mature and has a strong sense of justice and hard work. Hapu appears to be generally easy-going but with a serious undertone. She also carries around a small purple pouch that she secures with her belt. For accessories, she wears a large purple bonnet that's tied around her chin, a skinny black belt that only goes through one loop, and purplish-gray gloves. Her outfit consists of a short-sleeved khaki shirt, matching khaki pants that are very baggy and have purple designs on the knees, and black rubber boots. Clothing-wise, Hapu wears tough clothes that are suitable for working and add to her already dwarf-esque appearance. Her black hair is very long and comes down in two huge braids additionally, she also has thick, bushy eyebrows. Hapu is a very short and skinny girl with tan skin, gray eyes, and slightly rosy cheeks.
